My first travel blog post in 2007

Well this is a nice surprise. Back when Laurie and I first started traveling to Asia in 2007 I started a travel blog. It was hosted on a different platform but still archived. I stumbled across it recently and I’ve decided to move those early writings over to my current website. These were times where camera phones did not exist. When we were ready to upload a story or pictures we had to rent a computer in a cafe, by the minute, and wait patiently for the text and photos to upload to our blog. It was a different time. One that required patience. I’m in the process of sorting through the post and moving them here. Below is my very first post. – David

For weeks people have been asking us if we’re excited yet. Here we are 4 days before takeoff and I’m still pretty mellow. There will be plenty to get excited about once we arrive in India, so I guess I’m waiting. I have posted a list of books that I’m traveling with and I’ll add Laurie’s book list later on. I’m thinking of posting a list of exactly what items we are traveling with and then from the road see what we really needed and didn’t need.
